Southland Printing Company is a family-owned business founded in 1960 by John A. Manno, Sr., with the purpose of providing a quality product at a reasonable price in a timely manner.
From those humble beginnings with just two employees, Southland has grown into a family with over 80 employees. The facility is located in twelve buildings encompassing over 153,000 square feet of space on five square city blocks in Shreveport, Louisiana. This facility houses our offices, prepress department, six pressrooms, R&D Lab, carpentry and machine shops and eight loading docks.
Our product line includes all variations of tickets used in the PARKING and TRANSIT industries, both hand- and machine-dispensed.
Southland is a community-minded company, sponsoring many civic groups and organizations around the area.

John A. Manno, Jr. President
As overseen by its President, John Manno, Jr., Southland Printing Company Inc. operates with a commitment to ethical, professional business tactics and a devotion to the well-being of its local community.
After receiving a business administration degree from Northwestern State University, John joined the family business in 1978. John oversees all of the company’s financial operations and its Information Technology department. Additionally, he is the owner of Manno Realty Investments, LLC, which is responsible for developing all of Southland’s real estate holdings.
Deeply proud of his hometown, John and Southland donate to a number of organizations in the area. Over the years, the company has sponsored charitable organizations such as the Volunteers of America and the Northwest Louisiana Chapter of the American Red Cross, as well as educational institutions including Louisiana State University, Centenary College of Louisiana, and Northwestern State University of Louisiana. Southland also is invested in cultivating the local arts, having provided donations to both the Shreveport Symphony Orchestra and The Strand Theatre, where John served on the Board of Directors for 28 years.
Outside of Southland, John provides sponsorship to the Mardi Gras parade organization, the Krewe of Gemini, and is an active member of both St. Pius X Catholic Church and Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Angelina Bruno Manno Secretary-Treasurer
Angelina is the Secretary-Treasurer and co-founder of Southland Printing Company, Inc. and co-owns the business along with her husband and founder John A. Manno, Sr., who is the Chairman, and their son, John A. Manno, Jr., who serves as President. Born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana, she graduated from C. E. Byrd High School and Centenary College. She taught in the Caddo Parish public school system and worked in banking as well. After her marriage to John Manno and the beginning of Southland Printing, she joined the company and handled the accounting and legal matters. Angelina has accompanied her husband and the sales staff to conventions and meetings around the world.
Angelina has a strong commitment to family, church and community. She attends St. Pius Catholic Church and Holy Trinity Catholic Church, giving her time and resources to those in need. She manages the seasonal landscaping for Southland and directs the seasonal designs for Southland Freedom Plaza, dedicated to working men and women and to those in the military who serve our country.
She also participates in annual Mardi Gras celebrations and belongs to the Krewe of Gemini. She enjoys developing the theme and decorating the Float Table each year.
John and Angelina have been married since 1953 and have one son, John A. Manno, Jr. who is married to Lynne Manno. Their grandchildren are John “Jay” Manno, III and Bianca Marie Manno who are active in the company. They reside in the same home that they first built in 1957.
